Been a long time coming for the homie Dustin Yip to finally open his tattoo shop in Artesia. Like all business ventures you can encounter all types of unexpected hurdles, from building the foundation to the final product it can be an exciting and frustrating task. Headaches and delays are all apart of the blueprint of building your own business, but when its all said and done the reward can feel worth all the trouble.
The feeling that I had stepping inside SKANVAS and seeing Dustin, was knowing that this kid couldn’t be more proud of the accomplishment that he has achieved. Like all good tattoo shops the layout and design is a reflection of their work and SKANVAS definitely makes you want to get inked. Statues and art work on the wall are splitting images of the photos when looking through the iPad lookbook in the front lobby.
